Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) allows eligible partners to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year for serious health conditions, caring for a family member, or the birth/adoption of a child. Your job and health benefits are protected during this time. In addition to the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), various state-specific leave laws may also apply based on your location.
