Covered.

Losing coverage is stressful. It’s important to update your benefits to ensure you have the coverage you need moving forward.

Loss of Other Coverage

Enter a Loss of Other Coverage Event in Workday

This event includes losing coverage under your parent’s plan when you turn 26. The event date is the first day you are without coverage. For example, if your coverage ended on May 3, your event date would be May 4. This event must be completed within 30 days of losing coverage, with day 1 being the first day you lost coverage.

  1. Log in to Workday and click on the Menu in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Benefits and Pay, then click Change Benefits.
  3. Choose the Loss of Other Coverage Change Reason and enter the first date you are without of coverage (loss of coverage date).
  4. Click Submit, then Open, and Let’s Get Started.
    • Important: The “Submit Elections by” date is the last day you can submit your event and upload verification in Workday.
  5. Update your elections by clicking Enroll or Manage on each benefit tile you want to change. When finished, click Review and Sign.
    • Note: If enrolling a new dependent, you will need to add them in the first benefit tile you update. Once added, you can check the box next to their name for the rest of the benefit updates.
  6. If your elections are correct, review the electronic signature, check I Accept, and click Submit. If you need to change a benefit, click Cancel to go back to the benefit election tiles.
