Long Term Care
Long-term care insurance (LTCi) offers a practical solution for covering costs that are not covered by Medicare, disability insurance, and other health insurance plans. It enables family members to serve as care managers rather than primary caregivers, preserving their well-being and relationships. Additionally, LTCi ensures you have the freedom to choose your care and guarantees a high standard of service. These advantages make LTCi an essential component of personal financial planning.
Eligibility
Applicants must be aged 30-75 and reside in the U.S. (50 states and DC). Eligible participants include all full-time and part-time employees, retirees, spouses/domestic partners of employees/retirees, and family members. Acceptance is not guaranteed. An application covering health history must be completed.
Premiums
This voluntary benefit requires participants to pay 100% of the premium. Payroll deductions are not available for this program. Premiums can be paid monthly via automatic bank draft, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.
How to Get Started
Eligible participants can apply at any time during the year. An LTCi advisor will guide you through the entire application process, which typically takes 6-8 weeks for approval. Depending on your age and health status, this process may include a 20-30 minute phone health interview, a review of medical records, and/or a face-to-face interview. If recent medical records are not available, a physical exam may be requested.
