At Schreiber, our pay-for-performance philosophy is designed to reward partners who consistently contribute to the company’s success by achieving defined goals and demonstrating our core values.
The cash portion of our total rewards package includes base wages, bonus pay, paid time off, and other paid leave.
Eligible partners, where applicable, can participate in our performance plan, which offers bonus pay based on company success.
For more information about our Total Rewards package, please contact your Human Resources representative. New Hires will receive detailed information during the onboarding meetings.
We understand the importance of taking time away from work to recharge, travel, or attend to personal needs. That’s why we offer a comprehensive paid leave program as part of our Total Rewards package:
Paid Time Off: We offer paid leave for various situations, such as vacation, bereavement, jury duty, and military duty.
Holidays: Partners are eligible to receive paid company holidays each calendar year. The day each holiday is celebrated depends on the plant, line and day of the week the holiday falls on.
Paid Parental Leave: Equivalent to four weeks of paid time off to support partners and their families during this life-changing time.
Disability Benefits: Company-paid short-term and long-term disability benefits are available upon hire.
Vacation Donation Program: Partners may face family medical emergencies or major disasters requiring additional time off beyond their available vacation balance. To address this need, we offer a Vacation Donation Program, allowing eligible partners to donate earned and unused vacation hours to other partners in need of additional paid time off.
Paid FMLA Benefit: Schreiber recognizes the importance of family medical emergencies and provides a paid Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) benefit to support partners during these times.
For additional information on paid leave, contact your local HR representative.
Schreiber offers a generous retirement package including a 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) (where applicable). The programs are designed to support the well-being of our partners, focus on their long-term financial security, and help them build a bright future.
Most partners are eligible to participate in Schreiber’s retirement program(s) immediately upon hire. (Partners who are exempt from U.S. Social Security and Medicare taxes are not eligible). Contact your local HR representative for specific details.
Schreiber will also contribute to your account. Contact your local HR representative for specific matching details.
Partners have the ability to choose between three health insurance options: two high-deductible health plans (HDHP) and a copay plan called Surest. These plans provide a range of coverage levels and costs, allowing you to choose the best fit for you and your family.
Surest is a copay-only plan with no deductible, just an out-of-pocket maximum. This plan is not eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA) as it is not a qualified high-deductible health plan. For additional details on Surest, view the Surest pre-member site here (Access Code: schreiber2025).
UMR offers two HDHP options, both eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA). These plans provide various coverage levels and costs, allowing you to choose what best fits your needs.
Regardless of the plan you select, each option includes prescription drug coverage through SmithRX, utilizes the same extensive UHC Choice Plus network of providers and hospitals for more choice and savings, provides preventive care covered at 100%, protects you with an annual out-of-pocket maximum, and offers enhanced care programs and resources to support your overall well-being.

We offer a Health Savings Account (HSA) to help you manage healthcare expenses and save for the future. An HSA is a personal savings account used with a high-deductible health plan to pay for eligible medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision expenses tax-free. Contributions made through Schreiber payroll deductions go into your account on a pre-tax basis, and any interest or investment earnings are also tax-free.
Unlike a flexible spending account (FSA), an HSA allows you to roll your contributions from year to year, and you own the account. This means that anything Schreiber contributes or you contribute is completely yours, even if you change employers or retire. You can still use the money for eligible healthcare expenses.
To open an HSA, you must enroll in one of Schreiber’s High Deductible Health Plans and authorize the account opening during the online enrollment process in Workday. Partners enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan can earn wellness dollars for their HSA by earning points in Asset Health.
Your HSA can also serve as a retirement savings tool, allowing you to accumulate funds for healthcare expenses during retirement. HSA funds can even be used to pay Medicare premiums. Partners aged 55 and older can contribute an additional $1,000 per year to help “catch up” on savings before retirement.
Schreiber offers dental benefits through Delta Dental, with in-network providers available in both the Premier and PPO networks. Partners can maximize their benefits by using an in-network provider. The plan includes a $1,000 annual benefit per person and a $1,500 lifetime orthodontia benefit for both children and adults. Preventive care, such as cleanings and routine exams, is covered at 100% and does not count toward the annual maximum with our Check Up Plus plan. Restorative services are subject to an annual deductible and co-insurance. Additionally, plan participants with certain medical conditions (such as diabetes, pregnancy, and periodontal disease) are eligible for extra cleanings and fluoride treatments through the evidence-based integrated care plan. To see a full list of dentists in the Premier or PPO networks, go to deltadentalwi.com.

Schreiber offers vision benefits through VSP (Vision Service Plan). You can choose between two plans: Basic Vision or Vision Plus. Basic Vision is free and includes an eye exam with an in-network provider, plus allowances for lenses and frames every other year with a $20 copay.
For more comprehensive coverage, you can opt for Vision Plus. This plan provides an eye exam and lens allowance every year with a $20 copay, and frame allowances every other year. Vision Plus also includes a “second pair” benefit for a $35 copay, allowing you to get an allowance for a second pair of glasses or contact lenses within the same year.
To receive vision coverage, you must select one of the two plans during your New Hire event. To see a full list of approved providers, go to vsp.com.

Important Notes:
Proof of good health, also known as evidence of insurability (EOI), is required for coverage increases beyond certain limits. If both you and your spouse work at Schreiber, some coverage limitations apply.
Critical illness is a partner paid benefit designed to pay a financial payment in the event of a serious medical diagnosis covered under the plan. Benefits paid out under this plan are payable directly to the partner and can be used to help offset the cost of meeting your annual deductible, your coinsurance expenses, or any way you’d like to use the money. The payout is not contingent on other health care benefits. Covered diagnoses include heart attack, stroke, cancer, major organ failure, MS, and others. You can purchase coverage for yourself or your spouse, and if you elect coverage, your children will automatically be enrolled at 50% of your coverage. Coverage amounts and bi-weekly costs are available in Workday at the time of enrollment.
